Brent Stackhouse

Member of the Board and Treasurer

Brent Stackhouse is the Managing Director of Mount Sinai Ventures, the venture investment arm of the Mount Sinai Health System in New York City. His responsibilities include diversifying the portfolio of strategic investments to enhance Mount Sinai’s transition to population health management. Brent is the President of the UWS Endo Center, and is an officer of Mount Sinai Ambulatory Ventures, Mount Sinai HC Ventures, and BIMC Holding Corp, as well as a Board Member and serves on the Executive Committee of East Side Endoscopy, Carnegie Hill Endoscopy, Manhattan Surgery Center, South Brooklyn Endoscopy, Island Ambulatory Surgery Center, Liberty Endoscopy, Northern Westchester Surgery Center, Northern Queen Surgery Center, Empire State Surgery Center, 181 Urgent Care Center, Cure Urgent Care Center, Accuity Inc, and UWS Endo Center. Additionally he launched the Strategic Ventures Group, a national consortium of corporate venture and innovation team leaders from over 25 hospitals, and sits on its governing committee.

Prior to joining Mount Sinai, Brent was the Executive Director of Strategy at the Primary Care Information Project at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. In this role, Brent oversaw the strategy and operations for the bureau responsible for expanding the adoption of electronic health records and the use of health information technology for care coordination and quality improvement across New York City.

Brent is a frequent guest lecturer at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Cornell University, Columbia University, and Pace University. Additionally, he is the 2019 Vice Chair of the World Health Care Congress, and serves on the Advisory Council of the Accelerate Asset Allocator Conference for Diversity and Inclusion. Prior to his career in health care, Brent worked in investment banking and commercial real estate finance. He has a Bachelor in Science from the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.
