Unicredit CEO Andrea Orcel visits the Vocational Training Institute CIOFS in Milan

June 2024

Like the changing demographics in Italy, the Vocational Training Institute CIOFS in Milan is multicultural, with students of varying origins, and economic and social backgrounds coming together in a learning environment. Teachers and students alike face difficulties, especially linguistic challenges.

In November 2023, the school was hit by a flood which destroyed the computer labs: UniCredit Foundation offered its support in renovating the labs and purchasing new computers.

Following Orcel’s visit, in June students from the Institute will visit the UniCredit Tower in Milan, and meet Orcel’s staff to continue the conversation around the social responsibility of large corporations. Additionally, a UniCredit Social Media Manager will visit the school and hold a lesson on Social Media Communication, one of the topics most requested from students to deepen their knowledge for their professional development.

This is just one example of the ways in which TFI Fellows are able to identify opportunities outside of the classroom for students to learn, connect and grow. Teach for Italy is grateful for UniCredit for their ongoing support and innovative approach to the partnership.
