Andrea Pastorelli
Chairman of the Board and Teach For Italy CEO
Andrea Pastorelli is the CEO of Teach For Italy. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Communications and Cultural Studies at Goldsmiths College, University of London, and his Masters degree in International Development at Kings College, London.
Andrea started his career as an intern at the William J. Clinton Foundation in New York, where he supported the development of HIV and health programmes in East Africa and then joined the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), where he worked in the Bureau for Development Policy at New York Headquarters. Andrea also worked in Dakar, Senegal, in the UNDP regional office in West Africa developing new initiatives on governance and coordination and in Beijing, China, where he oversaw UNDP’s Poverty, Equity and Governance team.
Upon returning to Italy in 2016 Andrea worked for the International Organisation for Migration (IOM), the UN Migration Agency, in Rome, managing two regional programmes focusing on socio-economic integration of migrants and supporting the Italian government in developing its first National Plan for the Integration of Refugees.
